Haven't you been in a race so close and heated that you hit your opponent (or he hits you) and you both spin out just before the finish and you decide to fuck it #yolo and put it in reverse gear rather than waste time by correcting? This is basically the same. I can relate to this finish.

yeah but it aint right, because takumi got clumsy it costed shinji the race. The road was too narrow so shinji couldn't get by him and takumi took up the whole road, shinji couldnt win

| For the record, we never knew if Shinji's 86 was underpowered or not. It had a rollcage installed, who's to say it didn't have more mods? At no point during the race did Takumi notice a horsepower advantage. | |
