I thought it would be a good time to get this thread running about. If you don't know what Speedrunning is, it is where you attempt to beat a game as fast as possible ( its like touge racing... but with entire video games ) while abusing glitches and exploits. Discuss!
Seriously, watch these videos. It's worth it. Your mind will be blown.

Dang, that's pretty good. The world record for Halo 2 is 1:30:29 according to SpeedRunsLive. I am going to speed run Super Mario Bros 3 pretty soon on VC so that will be fun. I never knew you speedran.

Then I probably did 2:30 more realistically although I never timed myself. Still I remember trying hard as hell not to die while walking by HUGE groups of enemies hahaha. Its not that I speedrun but back in my Halo days I found the campaign very exploitable and I got kicks out of it.

Yeah, I really like playing the older Zelda's and Mario's better than the "Motion Control" Zelda and Super Mario Galaxy. Going to buy them both on VC when I get the money. Great games.

Yeah, I have P64 to play OoT a lot. All I need is a gamecube to usb converter and I can start speedrunning it soon when I get a Wii to get some ideas on what to do.

You could just use a wired xbox controller or a dualshock 3 controller with DS3 tool. Or do you have to use a gamecube controller as a rule or something?

Funny thing is, I don't own any wired controllers to use on my PC, but when I get a Wii, It comes with 2 GC controllers. So I will buy a GC to USB converter off Amazon and play that way. I like GC controllers better than any other controller.
