For anyone who's watched the wangan midnight anime, did you notice that the ikeda's z33 in episode 8 sounded a lot like akio's s30??

They probably got lazy on production and reused the sounds -____-

^They mentioned that in the IDW forums too lol apparently so
In terms of quality, Fifth Stage is not amazing by any standards but still... better than nothing I guess.

I noticed that too. Sounds exactly like the S30.

Yeah i was talking to a buddy of mine about it when i went out of town, the artwork for the characters isnt consistent in fifth stage.

Buddy was saying it had something to do with production cost and having two different artists.

This is a classic, one of the fastest runs ever down Akina in a Version 3 arcade machine.

I think thats version 3, version 4 has better graphics and different physics than this one.

The people translating it (Central Anime) are running into problems with Nyaa torrents who are restricting their uploads since they're low quality upscales. So after that small delay, the ones running Initial D World Forums are going to host it themselves after Central Anime is done with the translation.

tldr; they're working on it as we speak.

Still no SUBS.

It feels like it's been months since 7 & 8 came out, haha.

Everyone complains but there IS a subbing group working on it, they're just taking a little long to finish

Haha, my original post was that the subs were up, but then I realized I was looking at the episode 4&5 thread. I was like "DOH"!

9-10 will be out in a couple of weeks.

At this pace, I predict Initial D has 4-6 episodes left before it ends.

Nope, never. They didn't announce that Fourth Stage was gonna be 24 episodes either. However, the material in the manga is running out and it seems Initial D really is gonna end sometime in the next months.
