I say it's a valid technique so long as you have the inside well before you make it into the turn, otherwise it's just cutting off/divebombing their line. Basically I'm saying if I've already started to turn in it shouldn't be a game of chicken into the apex.

From my experience following people, there are 3 kinds of drivers. The ones that will let you by if you pressure them enough, realizing the can't match you. The ones that won't quite "give up" if you pressure them, but if you enter two wide they'll adjust their line to avoid a collision, and then the ones that will not move over, no matter how many times you attempt to pass, or how far outclassed they are, they would rather have a wreck then let you by.

The first kinds are rare, since were playing a video game there's no consequence for crashing, so it's not often people will just slow down and let you pass.

The second kind is uncommon, but mostly found in people that you know personally. They don't want to let you by, but if you can slip by they'll let you.

The third kind is 80% of the people you encounter in public lobbies.

So, that technique would be good on someone that is a type 1 or 2, but attempting it on a type 3 is pretty dangerous.

Type one for me. If they are in my ass and wont give up I let them pass and then step it up a notch as im better when im chasing then put on the pressure and look for weaknesses and use it against them at the end and overtake

Well id say type 1 if someone took the inside i dont cut into him. My pride forbids that kind of stuff and in case it does happen there was no intention of doing it behind that
