Making Our Own Manga? (Maybe and Idea)

Many of you guys know i like to edit a lot of pictures to make them look night time, head lights and all that good stuff. Well this popped in my head while i was at work, i thought about US as a whole touge community to do our own manga with our touge battles, now we can let fate decide how this story shall go or can come up with a story line doesnt matter but i will be happy to take the pictures and design them out. Now i know this will be a long process and some might not have or want to put the time into this but im really only looking for somebody to help with certain things if i have enough in people who think it is a cool idea and want to do it. Plus i think it would be cool knowing that we all contributed in some way and can call it our own. please tell me what you think and if we should actually do it

What kind of help?

well one comming up with the story line (IF we all decide that is the best way to go)
one to help taking pictures and sending them to me so i can edit them
one doing and organizing the battles and choosing the cars to battle each other, main characters and rivals how wins and loses how long each chapter or volume should be all that good stuff
one doing typed scripts for the images

simple stuff but i need some people who will be dedicated to do this and really make this happen plus help with title ideas and names and team names (all fictional obviously)

There is a site online that allows you to make magazines, books, manga etc, and its not just words on a page, its a virtual magazine, i cant remember the name. Why not just let whatever races happen play out and add some back story to them? That way the battles dont have to really be organized as you can just receive a replay and go from there? You wouldnt need a main character, just a main setting where reappearing characters race (Fuji derp)

@Saintedplacebo4 - i can make the manga templates but if you remember that site please let me know and we can do that i would just need to know each car or persons fictional name (considerable a Japanese name being that it will mainly take place on Mt.Fujimi)

Hah, well this is a fun idea.

Not trying to be negative or anything, but you're going to be a little hard pressed to make it exciting, considering all you can use are images of cars. You won't be able to flesh out characters well without giving them bodies and faces. Every panel of every page will need to be cars and text. Cars don't convey emotion or tension so well. Main characters are a no-no as well, you can't very well pick a "main character" out of the community since were all our own main characters. I suppose all that wouldn't matter so much if it isn't approached as a high quality project, it could just be a fun little diversion.

What if the main character per-say is the mountain? You dont need a main character if the story is a composite piece of interesting events taking place at a specific setting. As for faces and such well, there are quite a bit of literary tools that can be used to get around that, perhaps personifying the vehicles that each person chooses to represent them? Also, dialogue can be used without needing a face to look at, and since I'm assuming everyone here uses a mic everyone has an assumption/image of that person in their minds already.

mainly all the setting will be on the mountain, and it will focus on the cars and battles itself and when i say characters i really dont mean actual faces the cars are the faces and characters, and being everybody has their own story the whole manga will be short stories. each battle will be a short story. its hard to explain but i think it would work i see it perfectly in my head and im positive i can put it to vision

I suggest you guys take a look at the Tokyo Extreme Racer Drift games. Their storylines had no actual people but it was still a story nonetheless. I say we create a fictional main character (some racer who just came into town or something) and is challenged one by one by the veterans of Fujimi Kaido (us) in order of increasing difficulty (which is going to be a pain because I know everyone here wants to be the Final Boss lol). Anyways we can create some fictional battles that have some key points that develop the main character's skill before facing his next challenger (we don't necessarily have to make it Initial D style but it's hard to be 100% original )

i understand its hard to be original being that initial d is heavily influenced but im sure there is a way of doing so i just need people who are for this to come together and actually have a good organized plan to do all this i really want to do this and think this will be cool special and fun for all of us

Why not just have it be like a journal, kept by some person somehow related to the races, thus adding a window to look at it through, and then have side narrations (such as drivers thoughts and the like) to give insight into the personalities.

Well i started messing with it and I know I can do it I'll just have to take a shit load of pictures and a lot of editing I just need a title of this whole manga and a good strong introduction and go from there

Cheesy titles?

An idea could be a narrator introducing it from the standpoint of a local that lives in one of the buildings on the way down or in the lil town.

No cheesy titles I want a title with meaning that sums up techniques, tire squealing, engine revving and a adrenaline rush

Not quite, ppl like me who has 7 to 10 hours of time difference to US.
When US ppl have gaming prime time, we are way past midnight. And when its ouer prime time, in US its only around midday.
