Benchmark Cars? [Poll Added: Choose the Benchmark Car!]

I just had a thought:

What if we chose a set of cars (one of each of FWD, RWD, and AWD) to use as benchmarks. Keep a set tune (or keep them stock) and have everyone post their NDH times with them. We can then have a benchmark leaderboard where we can see how we all handle the same car and ultimately who has more skill behind the wheel, not just in the tuning menus. Thoughts?

I think this would be a good idea, and I'd be down for it.
But the whole point of tuning is to perfect the car to your driving style, so we'd have to pick sport everything otherwise everyone that can tune (most of us) would make the car suit them.

My SC300 turns almost as well as I30 Black Baby's MR-S, for example. But that's because I've spent hours perfecting this car.

So we'd have to have a specified set up that we all used, then Kraze/MiNd/Kona/Beta and Strawberry would all beat us because they're more skilled, therefore adaptable, than the majority.

However, if there's a way to ensure we all use the exact same set-up, I'd be down.

Edit: Why not pick a completely stock car?

We've done this before in the events section.

I say a factory stock FRS is the way to go.

get it. it's great

But in a way it's a REALLY cool idea because it motivates people to improve their driving and not their tune or car.
