The whole scene was probably not actual gameplay, but it still looked great the way you could see the grease on the tires. I hope the announcers won't actually be in the game or that you can turn them off. Nothing we haven't seen before in terms of gameplay though.
It's sad that the Xbox One did so poorly in comparison. Reports from Wired that claim that all purchased games will be linked to your account, and you have to pay to activate the game on another account. This means used games are going to cost even more to buy, and even buying a brand new game will force us to activate the game twice on different accounts. Not to mention the fees for paying for Xbox LIVE, and being forced to buy a Kinect since the console won't even operate without one.
The PS4 is looking ridiculously appealing at this point.

I will still play my 360. But at this rate I might buy the PS4 with GT6 and/or I will go to PC racing.

Even more bad news, Xbox One will be always online. If you haven't connected to the internet in 24 hours or more you won't even be able to play your games.
I'll definitely stick with FM4 unless they show something that can motivate me to put up with Xbox One.

I highly doubt you will have to pay to just activate games on a different account being that is just a rumor still and has not been officially said by microsoft. If that was the case wouldnt the PS4 do the same? Besides i believe all games will still be playable because one thing is for sure they do not want to back-track with the progress thats being made. The online thing is only for the perks that come with it (tv, marketplace, apps, etc.) As for games well online play yes that will be gone without online connection but playing your games will not just have to play it solo. Theres still alot that has to explain about the xboxone but so far its just rumors that most sites are still putting out with no real information. The reveal was just a small portion of what the new console will do, we still have a lot of things to learn truthfully about the xboxone so till then ill be waiting for more news on the console and exclude the rumors till address by the company

There's a lot of talk around it, the Wired article that "confirmed" it earlier today has edited the article to remove that. Microsoft itself has said in the article you linked that "We are designing Xbox One to enable customers to trade in and resell games.", which can mean a lot of things really, but at least it will be possible. If Sony is smart, they won't do it even if Microsoft does.

No, your console must be online at least once a day to use it in single player games.
I hope it turns out well, but I don't trust Microsoft to go about this the right way since if they weren't planning to limit used games in some way, they'd want to come out and say it right now rather than keep quiet while this much negative talk about their new console circulates.

What is the main reasoning behind Microsoft putting this online DRM in the One? It does not make any sense. I can see how Microsoft is trying to defend against piracy but they do not need to take everyone else down with them.

Apparently the clapping and cheering during the presentation was prerecorded, nobody was actually clapping. You don't know how hilarious I find that
They've been pushing DRM because of the success of used game retailers like Gamestop. Publishers and developers feel like they're unfairly making money by giving people an alternative to paying full price for the games they work hard to develop. Publishers are pressuring the next consoles to restrict used games since it would be more profitable for all of them in the long run. It would also put an end to piracy and hacked consoles.

I hate forza trailers just a bunch of cgi stupidness. The announcer is actually audio sampled from ALMS races. Who cares how detailed the grease on the tires is? All I hope is that I'm not blinded by HD sunsets lol. I want track #'s car #'s...content! What's the content!?!
But most likely I won't be getting Xbox ONE or forza 5. I will most likely make the jump back to PC racing since its cheaper in the long run and I won't have to worry about this 24/7 kinect/Internet connection mumbo-jumbo.

I think its still just to early to tell right now. Were all still jumping to conclusions about the system when it was just shown yesterday give it time and more truth will unfold. And i believe the kinect will be inside the console as a whole, not seprate.

I think this video does a good job of comparing both systems with what little information has been given!

Looks like they're much more even this time around as far as hardware goes. The price of each console will definitely decide a lot.

From the specs of the consoles it wouldn't be shocking to see these priced around $500-$600.

I wouldn't doubt it whatsoever, but im imagining the PS4 will be a few hundred more than the Xbox just because the way they market their products. Considering the PS3 was 800$ the day it came out, i'm not sure what the Xbox's initial price was though.
