| It depends, how do you want to set it up? I know I thought I could set my capture card up a certain way and ended up unable to , then got the HDPvR and figured out that | |

| Its all right if you have the processor for it since its ALWAYS recording and only stops and deletes when sectioning off a clip, i always have my portable HD hoked up whenever i do. You'll also need a mic if you dont have a higher quality turtle beach or something similar.
i'm currently using my madre's studio mic lol

| I've used the HD PVR for about a year now and love the quality I get out of it. For editing I use Sony Vegas Pro 9. If you go this route you will need to convert your files before editing. For that I use "AnyVideoConverter" which you can download for free on the web. | |

| If you are referring to the Roxio Game Capture, I would not recommend it. The Game Capture is a cheap capture card that only captures up to 480p. A recommendation for you would be either the Elgato Game Capture HD or the Hauppauge HD PVR 2 Gaming Edition. Those two cards both record 1080p HD at 60fps. Both of these devices cost around $150 but these are HD capture devices and it's worth the money. | |

i was referring to mulchy. The only thing i dont like about the elgato other than it always recording is that its usb powered and doesnt need an outlet. Even if i dont plan on recording it needs to be plugged in somewhere because the signal from the HDMI isnt sent to the TV. In my case, all of my usb ports on my xbox are always in use, TB HD, Plug and play, turtle beach and it would be a hassel constantly having the switch HDMI cables. So i always end up propping up my laptop somewhere even if i dont need to record -___-
