March Evo vs STi Touge Event! (Bracket up!)

This months event will be an Evo vs STi Battle!

Track: Nurburg Touge Section (Pictures and Video up soon)

Car Choices: '04 Mitsubishi Evo 8 or '04 Subaru Impreza WRX STi (Cars will remain stock!)

Rules: Cat and Mouse rules



Basically it will be a bracket style competition, but also kinda a big team battle, you want your Team (STi or Evo) to be the winner overall! This encourages teams helping out members, going over battle strats, lines etc.

Stock means no rim / body kit choices?

^Yup, even stock tire pressure lol straight out of the dealership

So are we trying to keep team EVO with red paint jobs and team STI with blue paint jobs? Does that include hood,roof,trunk,bumpers,etc.?

^I'm guessing we just drive the stock cars with the factory paint. No buying or modifying...

Gettin excited for this, drove both the mitsu and the suby and I have to say this is going to be a real close battle. I think the mitsu has sharper handling but the subaru seems to stop so much better. Should prove to be interesting at the end of the long straights!

Alright here is the Touge Section we will be using.

The rules will be cat and mouse, It will be Wataru vs Takumi Style. There will be 2 runs, which will be repeated until a clear winner is determined.

For the lead car to win, they must lose the chaser by 100ft.
For the chase car to win, they must pass and hold the lead to the finish.


So for time sake and to make it easier. This is how it should work.

Example ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Judge picks a number, which ever racer is closer of the two chooses where they start.

Run 1 (Touge Section - Normal Direction) - Chase car keeps up within 100, so lead car and chase car switch position and line up for next run.

Run 2 (Touge Section - Reverse) - Chase car keeps up again, switch positions and move on.

Run 3 (Touge Section - Normal Direction) - Chase car passes, Chase car wins!

Pick Nurburg Stage D. At the start turn around, as shown here.


When you get to this point (seen in picture), slow down and turn around.

Once you've turned around and heading back in the right direction, start your 30 roll around here (see picture below)


30 Roll until this sign. This sign is point A.


Race until this line. This line is point B


Run 1 will be from Point A to Point B, 2nd run will be Point B to Point A, then repeat.

Now practice begins.

It brings back memories running this section.
