| Id wait for enough cash for 5 lug hubs and wheels, there are way more options for better quality wheels that way. | |

Rust free, adult owned, 3 owner car with all the paperwork for the parts on it that were all factory TRD and Toyota parts I'll upload more pictures later

| Holy frigging shit.
I'm betting it's 5k? All Toyotas depreciate extremely well.

| Thats way too low, they depreciate better than you know. It would be 5k if it were a stock 5S motor with 200k+ miles on it lol.
I have a friend with a very similar setup, and yeah the 3rd gen 3SGTE is soo much better than the USDM gen2 3SGTE. I love these cars but i hated working on them and i hate painting them lol

I love these cars but i hated working on them and i hate painting them lol I have a good example for that depreciation. So my father used to have a 2011 Toyota 4Runner Limited. Top of the line SUV, about 42 grand. While we were looking at possible cars at the Toyota dealership, we saw a 4Runner Limited that was near identical to my dad's, down to the mileage. They were asling 30,640 for it!

| Obelisk, you're doing it again, you might want to go ahead and stop... I hope you know thats not how it works... Say if your 4Runner was exactly the same as the other one, do you really think that dealership would take it from you for 30,640... The only things dealerships care for is profit, meaning your 4Runner is worth less than what you think it is...
Back on topic, We're talking about a car that is now 24 years old and Ive personally worked on plenty of MR2's that sold... You will not find a JDM gen3 3SGTE swapped MR2 with no rust on it for 5 grand unless the seller is in a hurry to sell. Owners will not go by KBB on modified cars, unless they're willing to lose money to get rid of it and not everyone is in a rush to sell...
A gen3 swapped MR2 in good condition will still sell for 10 grand...

Well, sorry. I was saying they were asking 30,640 for it. It's probably closer to 20k for the car value. I mean, I got my Impala for 3800 and it's not even worth $2000. I think it's valued between 1,500 and 1,800. - Spoiler:
and because of my accident, my insurance company wants to charge me 3880 a year to insure it...And we didn't even get to appeal it. We're filing a late appeal.
And I didn't realize how valuable an MR2 is. I suppose I haven't learned enough about cars yet.

| You got a good deal man, everything down to the Works and the kouki tails The only thing id do at that point is swap out the NA engine lid for the turbo one, color match the moldings and you're golden! Maybe a pair of hydraulic hood props because that oem one is poop and likes to fall off of the strut tower lol. My friend ran low 12s when he was on 17lbs and a good set of tires with his 3rd gen 3SGTE You'll find out how stupid easy it is to do and oil change on that car, the filter is right behind the passenger rear for the 3rd gen unlike the 2nd gen 3s's I just hope when maintenance does come up that you over haul everything at one time because its a pain in the ass working in that bay. Smallest things like swapping belts is actually easier to raise the car, drop the motor out than to try and do it with everything still in the car. | |

| I have a question, and I wanted to hear from the more experienced guys here. What do you guys think of throwing a set of [deleted link: wheels too big] on my Impala?
Edit: I have P225/60R16 tires on my car, would I be able to have a garage switch the steel wheels for whatever alloys I order at the next rotation?
Edit edit: Maybe these?

| If you get a set of rims in the identical size of the current wheels you use then any tire shop should be able to switch 'em around real quick. But I've never bought aftermarket rims so I'm just guessing it's that simple. Oh and btw people I forgot to mention I bought a new car yesterday. And I didn't have to sell my old one for it. Expect pics next weekend. | |
