I really shouldn't have found this thread because I'm about to go picture crazy, haha.
So here's my story..
AGE:17 Back in high school I always felt the need to be different, but still able to keep up with all my buddies. So while they were all buying Civics, Integras, etc........I went and bought this..
1999 Dodge Neon Sport (3rd car I've owned) When I bought it..it didn't have the CF hood or weird slanted muffler, haha.
I had wrecked it into a curb one rainy day and decided to change the wheels that were installed when I purchased the car. At this point I really got into attending shows.
AGE:18 Now with the looks of my car being pretty decent I wanted more.... and then comes my need for speed. The car already had a pretty peppy 2.0 DOHC 4 cylinder motor that I had won a couple street races with against my Honda owning buddies. So, I decided to do some basic bolt-on upgrades to it ....header, muffler, MSD ignition, and a MOPAR ecu.
I was pretty much on cloud nine with this car.. I had it looking the way I wanted (by this time I had added a CF trunk) and I had enough power/torque to keep up with GT Mustangs.
Then tragedy struck! Due to the Carbon Fiber trunk lid not have a brake light......I lazily tucked the original light bulb to the side where eventually some oily rags had made their way to.....and a fire broke out. It completely ruined the paint on the driver's side rear quarter panel. I was devastated.
I then decided that visual upgrades were not my thing.. I decided I was now a all go no show type o' guy. Almost sleeperish...and having the Neon was already pretty beneficial to me because everyone underestimates it. So I sold the CF hood and trunk lid and ditched the big flashy fart can. But, as fate would have it.....tragedy struck again.. Someone side-swiped my car in the middle of the night as it was parked outside of my house. Again..I was devastated. Being a newly broke college student I only had liability insurance on the car and wasn't able to pay for any of the damages myself..
AGE 19: At this time I had been driving around my wrecked car quite a while and with costs of College and other things I had to sell all my upgrades and was at a cross-roads with my Neon project. Did I want to save up and fix the damage to the body or go ahead and buy a new car all together? While searching around Fort Worth, Tx for some cheap body shops I ran across this..

A 1998 Dodge Neon R/T. I purchased it that day.
I fell in love with the car rite away. Stripped the stripes off, added a pair of R/T seats from a 2000 Dodge Neon and cleaned it up really well.
AGE:20 Of course though as history has shown.....I needed more. I decided to go turbo! Unfortunately I had blown the motor in the R/T but, fortunately I had a replacement in my old Sport.
I then sent the R/T off to a local shop "SNL" to build my motor with low compression pistons, new cams, cam gears, etc. I also had them install a used turbo kit I had found for pretty cheap that included a compatible SRT-4 turbo.
Once I got the car back I was super excited and couldn't wait to feel the glory of being "boosted". My excitement was short lived because although the build was complete....the car needed A LOT of fine tuning. Due to the fact that my car was not originally turboed like the Neon SRT-4 and did not have the OBD ecu like a Honda.....none of my local shops seemed to know the correct way to tune the car.
After leaving SNL I took the R/T to a local shop called "Red Line". There they gave me a extremely simple tune through a piggy back system called a SAFC NEO. It allowed me to daily drive the car, but I was still unable to safely push the car the way I wanted. I also had them fix my intercooler piping so that it did not sag below my bumper. Before
After
AGE 21: Basically now I have been babying a fully built turbo Neon for a couple months and have finally gained the funds to send the car off to a proper shop to have them get the car running correctly. They do a great job.....they set me up with a full stand-alone fuel management system, all new custom welded intercooler/turbo piping, individual coil pack system, a new BOV and a new boost controller. NOW I WAS LIVING MY DREAM. I could finally put the pedal to the metal boosting at 17psi with 300hp/300+tq in a NEON!
AGE 22: After driving my blue beast around confidently for over a year tragedy strikes yet again. Texas gets hit with a unusually nasty freeze which glitches out my fuel management system. I decide to take the car apart and replace the timing belt while she is down and go ahead and try to collect funds for its re-tune.
Now I am 25 and have still been tying to get up enough money to get this thing running again. It's been sitting on the side of my house for about 2 years now. I still hope to one day get her on the street lookin' pretty.
This story doesn't even include my first 2 cars. But, the only pictures I have of those are disposable camera pics because that was back before digital cameras, haha.
I now drive a 2004 Ford Ranger 4x4 and it suits me well for a daily driver. I'll have to see if I can find some pics of it.

It's not mine, it's actually my moms lol.
1997 Saab 900SE Convertible
It's currently running 400 bhp just for economic purposes, and my mom thinks it's too loud.
But my dad has another ECU he got from a buddy who works for Per Eklund out in Colorado that pushes it up to 800 bhp.
Here is mine,
2001 9-5 Aero H.O.T version
Theres nothing too special about it, it's a stick and has 305 bhp.
