| Those can't be real..the cars in the movie aren't automatic, they have manual transmissions with 203 gears. | |

| Those aren't the movie cars... Even if they were they would be one of the disposable stunt cars. Still WTF they have ROB COHEN and UNIVERASL PICTURES written right on them that's not legit. Not only the paint but the body kits are wrong too. | |

There were actually a couple people arguing on CL about that, one guy said that they're fake because of the transmission and then another guy said that the actual cars were automatic and not manual. I'm pretty sure they're cars that were used to promote the showings too, not the actual ones used in the movie.

| I can say that when i was younger i was at Universal studios and the rx7 is the one that they had at the event. i remember that the decals were different in that it had Vin Disiel on it rather than Dom or whatever. And the Directors Name. They had Joeys shot up jetta there and the charger. Ill say that the decals on the rx7 to me prove its real, since the only time i ever seen that car stickered that way was in person at Universal Studios when they were promoting the movie. | |

| I've seen lots of cars with the B.T. decals on them. Literally 1/10 of every diehard F&F fan has made a replica with their own cars. Supra, RX-7, Eclipse, Skyline, Lancer, etc. I've seen a fair share of replicas before doesn't mean they're legit. | |

| But would a fan of the movie actually put all those decals like "Director Rob Cohen" and "Vin Diesel" and "Universal Pictures" all over their replica car? They'd want a exact copy of the one from the movie, without the promotional stuff all over it. Not only that, but "George Barris Kustoms" actually has a website that says he builds cars for movies and stuff http://www.barris.com/history.php
I don't know, they could still be fake but the guy says if you contact him he can arrange a meeting and show you all the paperwork to authenticate them. He probably wouldn't say that if he didn't actually have it.
I wonder how much he's going to sell them for.

I wonder how much he's going to sell them for. For the movie they probably had many duplicates, in case they had damage and promos and everything etc, so It could be one of the backup or extras etc

| Yeah that would make sense, it's not like they would only make one of each car. | |

| they had the R34 from the second movie for sale not long ago. Movies normally have 3 or 4 stunt cars that go in rotation so that when one is fixed another can be busted up in a stunt. Then they have a camera ca, one that is ripped apart so that the drivers can sit in it infront of a green screen and do those shots where they are tlaking ot each other or whatever with a dashboard view of the inside of the car. the "hero car" is the one that doesnt get messed up and is driven in whatever scenes are not dangerous for the vehicle. Thats the only one that would be worth any sort of money and many actors buy them (or get them given to them) and keep them post production.
But i still from what i saw with my own eyes the rx7 was the one at universal studios.
