Was practicing on the NDH, managed a 4:38.595 clean run. Was finally able to get the horrid lotus aero run I did ages ago off the LB as well, so an added bonus for little ol me. Now I just need to get my AE86 running like this, and tighten up my lines.

Congratz Ialyrn! Must be a real relief to have a street car on the LB again.

Absolutely, the Lotus run was from when I was chasing Mindchargers older times. Since then though he has gotten a lot faster, plus I spent far too much time practicing drifting for the tandem lobby's lol.

You should keep at it though! There are lots of sections you do really well only a handful of them have minor errors here and there (so minor that they're only noticeable once you add them all up). Get rid of those and you can probably shave off ~3 seconds.

thanks for the words of encouragement, and I certainly plan to stick with it. Nothing like blasting down the mountain at a billion miles per hour. Apart from the green hell, Fujimi is my fave track. They both have awesome features that make them a challenge, so when I get into a hotlapping mood I will hit them hard and fast till I improve my time lol.
Ive managed to go from 4:47 to this new time in the space of 4 days, in total I would say it works out to around 8 to 10 hours worth of forza gameplay.

Was a racer from FM1 till the start of FM4, with a bit of AWD power sliding thrown in with FM3. Plus I used to play GT2/3/4 religiously as well. My brother taught me how to play racing games when I was 5 on his Master system and Amstrad cpc 464, been hooked ever since.

Then you got me beat in terms of sim racing experience. Just GT3/4/5 and FM2/3/4 for me.

Just noticed the Fanatec bit below your sig, must be fun on the touge with 900 degree wheel rotation.

Oh yes but the fun is proportional to the difficulty. The more degrees of rotation I use the harder it is to keep the car on the road and react to sudden countersteers. When I drive seriously I only use 240 degrees. Makes it a lot easier to transition between corners.

I bet, would love a fanatec wheel myself; just dont see the point in getting one this close to the X1 release.

I'm still not even sure if the Fanatec CSR will be compatible with the XB1

Hopefully they will get something sorted, though if your getting an x1, it might not hurt to do a few runs with a controller. You know as a just in case shop your not rusty with it when fm5 is out.

Well I won't get the XB1 until I have enough reasons to go and buy it so in the meantime I will play GT6 on the PS3 (the CSR is compatible with it).

Well that sucks, one less excellent touge racer to play catch up against in fm5. But I can certainly understand why you would hold of If your fanatec is incompatible with the x1.

That's amazing progress, Ialyrn! You've got my EM1 Civic time beat by 2 seconds now! Like Kraze said earlier, I'm sure if you keep up the practice you'll be hitting 35s in no time.

That is a hell of a lot of games on that OP in the thread.
I had quite a few games since I was 7, going from PS1 to xbox 360.
