The Espirit is an odd one, it behavea closely to the 037. The Eleven seems pkay but has a ton of torque for a car with 129 HP and 1,039 lbs curb weight.

I very blatently said I don't think the MRS is cheap or unfair. All I'm trying to say is it was funny to watch people switch to it just to get a little faster the first time an actual challenge arises. Especially when they rarely use it other wise. If someones main car was the mrs, good for them, good choice.

But for those who don't, every time you get into a rank battle after the tourney you'll need to pull out the MRS again, self destructing your own confidence in whatever car you actually use....its just kinda silly.

@stawberry Ill flat out say that based on some of the things i read on here there is a lot of things that flies right over the touge community's heads. Does that mean i think im better than you guys? Nope. Do i think that i know more than you? We all know more than someone else in certain areas. Do i enjoy racing you guys? Of course. Moving along.

If you honestly believe you know more about racing this course than the people you're arguing against I invite you to try and beat them using your superior theories. I don't deny that you might have more experience on other tracks and with different cars, but i've told you our reasoning for banning the Elise from competition. Honestly at this point even if we didn't restrict the car it would still be "soft banned" by pretty much everyone. Like Akuma in Street Fighter II.

Sainted you're just like Sudo trying to argue with Ryosuke. If you think you're right prove it, if you can't then you have just another theory...

Wait then how come in Import Tuner something why does wanderers like Devil Z and Mindnight Cinderella y do they change designs or cars entirely?

And becoming a wanderer would also mean quiting Fujimi Ghosts.
I wouldn't do that just to become a wanderer in a competition.

Well then again I choose a # far from #1 so I guess that's one point.

I am not trying to get banned for arguing. I did say straight up im not the best driver in my post before this one. And what my "theory" is that there is more than one car that is a leaderboard car. Im not arguing for lotus's, i was simply pointing out how its funny that people think that the lotus is the only car that is a leaderboard car. Anyways, feel free to get the last word, i dont want to start some kind of flame war and get the boot.

If you aren't arguing for Lotsues than why are we even having this discussion? I already told you that the community is already aware that there are others that are "leaderboard" cars. We know it already. There's nothing we can do it about, there will always be cars people flock to, touge or circuit.

Again, i'd really appreciate it if people would stop assuming that because i'm having a heated discussion with them that i'm going to ban them on the spot. It never once crossed my mind. Let's tone it down just a little. This thread is for the tournament, we can have a discussion about the cars involved but it's getting too personal with people at this point. Bottom line is, drive whatever you want that's not an Elise. Nothing matters but what you want, and if you want to go fast and win then the popular cars are great choices.

To me, the lotus is just an easy way out.
It takes a more skill in a mx5/mrs/z to hit a 33 than it does in the lotus.
The lotus is in a class of its own on the touge, that in itself isnt fair, hence car ban.

You say its just as OP as the MX5 but im sure konasumi can demolish his mx5 superlight PB and get #1 on the LB if he ran the lotus seriously but like many of us, we take pride in posting times in cars harder to drive.

Pretty sure the only thing that was meant to be said is that: Once you take the Lotus out of the picture, the second-best cars become the "LB cars" of the tournament. That much is obvious. However, if you're aiming for a high spot on the list, then I see no reason to discourage the use of your best vehicle. Just know that in this community a simple spot on the list does not equal instant respect, taking your car to the limit or pushing the known boundaries of it does.

I believe sainted said that the lotus and miata/ mrs are only a fractions of a second time different capability?

A few have us have pushed cars exteremely hard into the low 30s, kona spent an insane amount of practice to get a 4:30.

Now a lotus Elise, without aero took me 2 tries to put down a 30, the lotus is much more capable, hence why it is the only car banned.

So, I know registration has only been open for about a week now, but have you thought about a date for the tourny yet, smooth?

I was thinking the same thing actually. School is starting for everyone soon, we should get it out of the way within a week or so.
