Who the hell actually votes for the sh|t on forza?

I think the main reason I havs to address this is because looking from other people's perspectives,the forza franchise has gone into a downfall of dislikes with tuning aspects.
It seems like the franchise is focusing on graphics rather than content.  

For example:
Forza horizon was basically a let down from forza 4 because of removing the tuning setting. the gameplay seemed more arcadey from its predecessor. Even though many people thought it was garbage,but because of nighttime mode,it still sits on my shelf

Now I have not played forza 5 but according to people who played it, it was a step forward from horizon but still not better than forza 4. They don't bring along night time mode.  At first this isn't really a big deal.  But realizing that there is a mode where you can make your cars' headlights blare in autovista, but not in game??? What the sh!t were you thinking t10?someone please explain? This ties up into saying who the hell actually votes for such derailing concepts in forza.

Like i've said many times before over multiple threads, the games serves its purpose of a racing simulator and is executed perfectly.
The only down sides are the many luxuries out side of the simulator that are not available are what the people are upset about.

It is not hard for developers to make headlights flip or turn on in a simulated area that does not move.
In-game development is a totally different story compared to auto vista.
For example, the Warthog auto vista in FM4 is not an animated drivable car, even when hacking the game to use the design for the Warthog over a drive car base, it does not move accordingly.

I believe this was because they were on a tight schedule to create the game, so this had to be left out. Don't quote me on it, though. It doesn't make me happy that there was no night racing in Forza Motorsport 5, but it's understandable why they had to leave it out.

This is coming from some one who actually owns and XBOX One and FM5...

There's nothing open for vote, T10 does what it wants with it's franchise. Forza horizon is the game that it is because it's meant to appeal to a different kind of person than fans of the mainline series. It's not even developed by T10, it's mainly developed by Playground Games and co-developed by T10. The reason tuning isn't in Horizon is because the game was never meant to appeal to people who like to tune their cars in the first place.

It's definitely not just T10 deciding they want "graphics over content", they decided what they wanted to do with the game with the limited time they had before the launch of the Xbox One. Their finished product was a game that's prettier than FM4 but has vastly less content and for that reason most of the fans are disappointed. They do what they do to make money, and as long as people buy it they'll make more, it's not open for debate or voting.

Straw: well not entirely. Some threads on the fm.net forum page are basically there for people to vote which track and cars should be put into new games. But like how would they just generate the top best ones? It may seem a bit vague and obvious at first but sometimes things that are voted the most on are not chosen.

I'm going to adress this without sounding as condescending as possible because this is in no way supposed to be offensive.

Forza has not obsessed itself with graphics over content.  FM5 has what I would consider more appealing and vibrant graphics than FM4. It's not an impressive upgrade in my opinion.

Forza Horizon was not intentionally to be a simulator game.  It was to appeal to those who are new to racing games while maintaining the FM4 feel. They left out tuning for reasons such as Horizon was a free-roam game, making it difficult to be able to nail down tunes for 300 cars on multiple surfaces, not to mention that those surfaces transition to one another. Another reason was that Horizon was meant to be more arcade like, to draw new buyers and racing game novices in.

I thought it was fun for what it was.  You must have not played tag on the golf course or cruised with friends on the touge sections because it was a great time.

I have FM5 and I feel it is a step forward for the Forza franchise as well as from FM4. FM5 physics are definitely improved from FM4 and DO NOT feel anything like Horizon. The purpose of the Forza franchise is to deliver realistic and plausible car feel and performance. They DO NOT need to give the community everything they ask for.  For those who race for fun, Horizon is their slice of cake, and for those who race hardcore such as our community we have FM4 and FM5.

I don't feel T10 is ignoring our requests for content, and there may be some reason why things are being left out.  There's no way of knowing 100% unless you work for the company.  

I think all 3 games are their own.
FM4 is an all around simulator.
FMH is a simulator replica pushed towards arcade feel.
FM5 is a simulator based upon classic circuit derived speed.

That's just what I thing the company has done, and I respect them as game developers because I have enjoyed EVERY Forza title i've played.

Just because people are voting for a vehicle to be put into a Forza title doesn't mean that it will be automatically put in. There are a lot of factors that go into deciding if a car can be in a Forza game.

Mulch: huh, really I haven't viewed horizon as that. I mean I basically join all the public free roam lobbies at Red Rock and hardly anyone actually races. If they do, it is an s class or above.
I tried tag on the golf course like once, I thought it was fun yet annoying that my car wood roll over with in a few feet lol. I guess the point real way for me to find our how great fm5 really is from first person perspective.

T10 and Rockstar openly admitted in an interview that it wasn't to be a sim. I still liked it though, and if you get a chance you should play FM5 , it's really fun :-)

I've played it at my GameStop before, it's fun. The graphics look really good, but the physics didn't feel much different to me. It's still an enjoyable experience. I would be playing it, but I can't shell out $550 for an Xbox One and Forza 5 when I know that Forza Motorsport 5 will be the only game I will be playing on there.

Yeah, they haven't said anywhere that they actually pay attention to those. They're essentially just a containment thread where everyone can talk about what they'd like to see in the game in case anyone from T10 happens to care.

What Strawberry says is true. Turn 10 Studios doesn't use that thread for a list of cars to add, the community does it because they want to see what others want and to get Turn 10's attention.

It took 200 threads of fans begging for the 240SX to be in FM3 for Turn10 to finally add it... in FM4.

Smart but kinda cruel at the same time
