Twitch has been Hacked

If you do not know already, Twitch.tv has been broken into tonight.

This has caused mostly everyone signed up on Twitch.tv to switch accounts with each other, causing a leak of personal information, such as private messages.

This has also caused most people that have recently connected to the site to receive a "Trojan Horse" virus on their computers as the site was infected. I would recommend doing a virus scan to make sure that you do not have a Trojan Horse on your computer. I believe that the Horse was spread due to an advertisement or hidden image because I was using an adblocker and my antivirus programs do not report any malware on my Windows 7 PC.

Twitch has announced on Twitter that ALL user accounts on the site has had their account password reset and must be changed.

I would recommend that you change your password, and check your mod list, ban list, following list, and your private messages to make sure that your account wasn't used for any abusive behavior of any kind.

I would recommend scanning regularly for a while, The whole point of the trojan horse is to hide something malicious in something that can be fine, so that may still be on the computer. But all that would depend on the specifics of the virus itself

From what I am hearing from the Twitch streamers I have been following, they got the Trojan Horse removed from their system. My computer is not being different than it usually is since. I will keep that in mind to keep scanning regularly.
