Reminds me of Burnout meets F1.

I saw a trailer a while back, like a teaser, of this movie...If I'm not mistaken. the teaser had an exploding F1 car.

How is someone getting into a horrible accident and being burned alive like burnout?

Niki Lauda's crash and recovery is legendary. It's a miracle he even lived, let alone get back in an F1 car and win 2 more championships (could have been 3 in a row too).

I'm just saying it reminds me of the Crashbreaker in Burnout.
That aside, this movie looks interesting.

How fast he returned to racing after an accident like that is inspiring. The movie embellishes a bit by giving them love interests and seriously playing it up like the only two drivers that mattered were Hunt and Lauda but it's accurate besides that. I loved it.

Hence, the "Based on a true story".
The last movie I watched that was based off of a tale was Beowulf and it was grotesquely sexualized.

I can imagine there was a serious emphasis on just those two since it's the point of the movie after all. Among their opponents at the time you would find the likes of Ronnie Peterson, Jody Scheckter, Alan Jones, Emerson Fittipaldi, Jacky Ickx, and Mario Andretti!

WHAT THE FUCK.
Beowulf is a friggin' fictional Anglo-Saxon epic from the Viking era. Rush is about the 1976 F1 season. Why the hell are you comparing them?!?

I wasn't expecting a documentary or anything, I just telling Kraze about what kind of embellishments they made to spice it up a little. Besides, Beowulf is based on a story around 1,000 years old that has to do with slaying monsters and dragons.

The story itself is an interesting read, to be honest.

I went and saw this on sunday. It was really amazed on how good they showed how their life's outside of racing were affected by it. You should all go see it. It is unreal how he only missed two races and came back to racing to win the championship next year.
