I typed one thing while thinking another LOL.
So far, the city night races and rallying is where I'm finding myself to have the most fun. I'm still trying to get used to the wheel, and rallying without any assists is hard as hell!

I noticed something that was weird when I was racing Betadood last night, and the thing I noticed was that you can't see the light from other racers.
You can see their headlights light up, but there's no light emitting from them, so it's only your lights lighting up the course.
It almost got me into an accident when Betadood pulled up beside me on on one of the straights, I didn't see any light from his car and I was in hood view ( no mirror in that view ) so I didn't know that he was beside me. It was the blindside indicators that saved me from that.
I am mentioning this because they had opponent's lighting in GT5, and I wonder why they removed that in GT6. Maybe because there was no room for lighting after the graphical changes?

Yeah you're right it was in GT5. Talk about 24/7 Blind Attacks now...
Apparently GT6 is pushing the limits of the PS3 so much that PD had to compromise a lot of the features and graphic abilities for the physics and game content.
There's less weather detail from the cockpit view, there's no lights coming from opponent cars, but hey... at least the Big Dipper is positioned correctly in the sky.
Honestly I like GT6 more but these things just annoy me. Do they plan to update it or just leave it at that?

Sorry for my awful driving, trying to get used to a wheel, new physics, and doing it without assists isn't easy lol

I have a '99 MR2 Spyder that works pretty well for 430PP, and I have a 22B Impreza that works great with 500PP.

It makes sense really, the particle systems used for rain/waterspray/dust/smoke and so on are massively resource intensive on cpu processing power alone. Also by rendering lights on all the cars in a night race would also cause issues depending on how PD have implemented the use shadows from those lights, which again can be quite resource intensive to render up along with the reflection side of things. I think PD have really run into some limiting factors with GT6 in this sense, and I believe this game would have been better served on the PS4; though I can understand why it has been released on the PS3.
Considering the PS3 is a fair bit more powerful than the 360, it just goes to show why T10 haven't dabbled with Night racing since FM1, and haven't yet even tried anything with weather. Hopefully that will change this new gen though lol.
Still I have to admit GT6 looks like a better game than GT5, but I dont see it as being worth while to grab a PS3 and a copy; so I am going to sit and wait on GT7 for the PS4 and see how PD do with that. Hopefully they will ditch the "standard" and "premium" cars and do them all one quality level instead, as that would be a better thing to do on a new generation of console with vastly more processing power and system ram.
Anyway, I cant wait to see some videos from the people that have capture devices; and I am looking forward to seeing what photo's you take with GT6's photomode.

It's like i'm playing extreme stage . Seriously though I hope they patch this, it really sucks not being able to see the person behind you until they are a couple of inches from you.

I've been having lots of connectivity problems today I wonder if I'm the only one. On another note, this is probably as unpopular as an opinion can get but...
Spoiler:
I prefer standard car interiors, or lack thereof. I can actually SEE the road.

Have you broken 200 in a 71 Abarth, or hit 300 with a Lotus Espirit? Just curious.
