| sup guys i am currently tuning an A class evo 9 for the uphill. it handles pretty good but it tends to understeer on corner exit. i have sport springs on it but i figure a race set up will solve the understerring. if i put race springs on it what should i set them at? or is it my diff set up. my front is 85% accel 0% decel my rear is 88% accel and 9% decel and its 55% biased to the rear.thanx in advance for anyone who has answers | |

| I think you should lower your front diff setting and put more power to the rear wheels. You could get minimal oversteer but i dont think it slows down as much as under does | |

| Sport springs are good enough for 4WDs. Try removing the diff and just run with the stock LSD. | |

| With AWD's I set the front diff up like an FF, and the rear pretty high (60/70 accel, similar decel), which works for me. But Kraze is quite right, the stock diff is often better unless you're a tuning god.
As for suspension, soft as shit in the front and fairly stiff in the rear (oh baby) is how my R32 and Evo 6 are. I have some oversteer issues on the uphill but going down they are perfect. Take from that what you will.
Disclaimer: I am a terrible tuner. Do not take any of my advice. Ever. The only reason I am quick(ish) in my cars is because I'm used to that sort of handling.

| On my r32 I set the front at 20/0, rear at 30/20 and 80% split to the rear. As for springs and arb's I set the front slightly softer than the rear. I keep toe at 0.2-0.4 for the front and 0 for the rear. I love the way my r32 handles. Crisp turn in without any oversteer, and I'd say its either neutral or slightly oversteer on the limit.
Also for uphill I set my gear ratios very high so you top out in 6th at the end of the final straight. That way when you shift your torque is going down and horsepower is going up. Makes full throttle shifts and putting the hammer down coming out of a corner less prone to spinning the wheels.
Also take my advice with a grain of salt, this works for me. Everyone has their own style of driving and should tune accordingly. Tune so you feel comfortable in the car and it reacts the way you want it to. Then speed will come with practice.

| jesus your accel setting is in the 80's?? surprised your'e not "running in the 90's" lol In all seriousness, i dont think any touge car should have more than 50 accel and i run less than half of that Yeah you want the front diff set similar to an FF, so 0 decel is good so that when you let off the throttle in a tight corner it'll turn on its own after the entry. The rear diff is obviously similar to a FR but you can run a lot less rear decel like an FF and have it lock earlier for lift off oversteer, which is easily controllable in awd. If youre still understeering out of corners still its probably a suspension problem.

| ^The longer you drive with crappy tunes the better you become as a driver. Once you drive a car with a perfect setup you'll feel like a god lol. - Spoiler:
Fun fact: At first I didn't know how to tune either so I just ran with default settings until I got into 38s. Once I taught myself how to tune correctly, 36s and below were just natural at that point. It's just a matter of not depending on the car to be fast.

| ^ or realizing that certain cars have different braking points could help also like ex. EVO 6 brake early so by the time your heading into the corner your already have the car situated turning into the apex and gassing it out i always liked the slow in fast out method with awd the more foward force you make coming out of a corner the faster the car will move into the next section

| Yeah you can get addicted to DAT GRIP that is why I love A class Uphills because the massive traction from AWDs is only setback by the poor acceleration where in RWDs it's the complete opposite. Makes for very interesting battles and strategies | |
