| It's one helluva quick car, and it handles very sharply. I'm surprised no one thought to get one of those up on the leaderboard. | |

| The RS1800 is basically Europe's 86. It's lighter and has more power in B-Class with similar grip. Fun car.
As for the Stratos, I messed about with one a while ago and got a 42 first run with just a base tune on it. I'm sure with time and a decent driver, it could be up there. I think the main reason they're not often used is due to the distinct lack of JDMness.
If MR's are considered cheap, then call me a noob all you like. It'll take more than that to get me out of the MR-S or AW11. Awesome cars.

| Not all MR's are cheap, I don't think there are that many cheap cars anymore, lately some cars have been pushed farther than we thought possible
I just think if you try to label "cheap" cars other than the obvious lotus', it just ends up throwing a ton of cars in the "cheap" category.
Also, I won't judge a car cheap or whatever until I've tried it and run the same time

| ^ well said. It makes for more interesting racing sometimes too. As an example, Sir Touge, Bukkaz and myself were in a lobby last night and consistently finishing within a second of each other. An MR-S, a 240z and a hachi. I'd have been much further behind in my 86, but this way we had, or at least I did, more fun.
I'm just gonna stop fussing about what car and use the ones I like and am quick with.
If most of a lobby is running 40's and you need a Lotus to match it, that's fine by me. Makes for closer, more intense (therefore fun) racing IMO.

| But if you change your car to get quicker you'll never actually get any better. Better to stay in your car that's a couple seconds slower and just keep at it. IMO it's more fun to keep up with a slow car than to just use a "cheap" car to make up for a lack of skill. That's why I don't drive my Z anymore. Sure I could run 38's in it but the car was doing most of the work for me. So I jumped back in my hakosuka and now I'm working on my technique and throttle control to hopefully get just as fast in my GTR as I could run in the Z | |

| Also, don't be so quick to jump to calling a car cheap Just because a you can do a little better in it than your normal car, doesn't mean its cheap. Take the Escort for example, that was considered a cheap car because after some practice you can get in the 37 and 38 range, at the time those were some of the fastest times then so everyone considered it cheap (I did lol)....But now, theres a decent amount of us touge veterans running like 3 seconds under that. Taking that escort to those times is very hard just like any car. I think many cars have a learning curve to them, some are very easy to start out, some are more difficult, but in the end to get the fastest times they are very hard. On a side note, if you do hop into a car and instantly get a faster time, your driving style might just match up with that car better than your current car etc, When I hopped in the Gen 2, after only a day or so I ended up matching my MR-S times, but I wouldn't consider that cheap. Other than a lotus, I don't consider anything else really cheap. I'm just afraid that some will get carried away with calling cars cheap. If you want to get better and improve, just focus on beating that car, when it comes down to that, "cheap" doesn't matter Just my .02 cents! | |
