Monthly Touge Union Competition Idea Thread

Here is where will be bouncing around ideas of what the community would want to the monthly comp. Lets keep it Touge so only Kaido and Nurburg. Post your ideas/comments!




Some ideas for the next one were either a stock car time trial.

Or my favorite of a few ideas, pick a car that isn't really used much(Example 240sx), allow upgrades and tunes then have a time trial. Post replay in storefront for verification


maybe have a battle bracket part to it as well?

I love the stock car time trials. Maybe some Nurburg for the track?

While I like the idea of a Nurburg race, i'd rather compete on that course in a car i'm familiar with rather than a new one.

Stcok car racing is mighty fun imo

yeah id be down for that too it really proves how good a driver is if everyone uses the same car with the same specs in a time trial

Why are we flying out to Germany when there are so many good tracks in our back yard? Tsukuba and Motegi are both fun courses!

I used to be pretty fast on the nürburgring in C-class back in the day. I think some stock car time trials would be cool there.

Well when I put Nurburg in the OP, I had intended it only to be that Touge section, which is the last part of Stage C and most of Stage D, because it is multi-stage and unofficial start/finish lines we wouldn't be able to do a Time trial on it, Battles are good though. That section is great for close battles!

I'm not sure if y'all have seen any of valdude's videos on YouTube, but he sometimes does "Car Rivals" races......i.e. STI vs. Evo or Corvette vs. Viper.

All the vehicles are stock and I think the only tuning allowed is tire pressure. That would make for some really close racing I think.

I like Tabs idea, taking rival cars/companies and racing in a straight up race.

Yeah, an Evo vs STi seems pretty cool.

Maybe Evos vs STi's battles on Nurburg Section? I kinda want to show the Nurburg section some love but it would have to be battle.

Nurburg would be cool! Could split up all the participants in two teams so we have even cars and just run 1v1s in a best 2 of 3 style? Food for thought

Should we make it only the 2004 models of each car? Or all evos vs stis? I just want to make it even and not have everyone only pick 1 of the multiple choices.

What do you guys think? Should we have all models? or just one particular for each ?

Go with the same year models , that way we can see which car was better for that year. I'm also definitely going to go with an STI on this one .

Alright its stock cars on Nurburg!

The section is going to be down and back, my initial idea was to have a heads up from the Start point to end point (Will show them in video), whoever has the lead at the end point will line up (cat and mouse style) and continue the race the opposite direction, first one back to the start line wins


I was thinking that would get rid of the turn around issue for early rounds, but later rounds would have a turnaround in the race.

Should we do that for the whole event? Turnaround in for the whole event? Thoughts?


Other than that we are all set, video showing the section will be later once we get that settled
