| I'm already trying to sell off my 300ZX. It's in fair conditions and I'm hoping for at least $5k for it. I plan to hold on to the money until I graduate college. I hope I can own another 90s sports car by that time. | |

Also if you find one, try to snag one with the L28(280z) engine in there.

I love 240z's so much, I didn't think a car could match my first favorite but everything about it is perfect! My 280zx is a 1983 model so it doesn't have to pass smog either. The trouble is that there aren't any 240z's in somewhat decent condition for 4,000$ - 8,000$ in Texas. They're either a year from the scrap heap and 500 - 1,000$, or in pristine restored condition for 15,000$ - 20,000$. I'm considering buying a solid base 240z without an engine and swapping the L28 from my 280zx into it, though i'd have to find a way to sell the gutted ZX and I don't know if I want to do that to my first car. - Quote :

I love the sound of my l28 and it isn't even triple carbed!

| I think you can use parts off of your 280zx aside from the engine. If the springs are better you can swap em. Same thing goes for the diff, tranny, and the rear brakes if you were to do a rear drum to disc conversion. The main problems with Zs are rust especially if its been sitting. But other than that, theyre solid. | |

| Oh yeah, definitely going to want to do a rear disc conversion. I know my springs are pretty bad, I keep hearing hissing from the rear for about 10-15 seconds after going over bumps, so i'm better off just buying brand new Tokico's or something. Honestly my 280ZX is a rusty one and it's 10-12 years newer than the early S30z's so I don't have high hopes for a rust spared 240z in my price range. | |

| Hey, I've concluded my search for a first car, and luckily, it's a Nissan. It's seen some long miles (123,000) but so far has no issues, except for a small dent on the rear left door and a somehow damaged gas cap. It's a 2004 Altima 2.5 S with a basic automatic transmission and a 4A engine. Here's the car on the dealer lot: | |

| Update: Paperwork finished and plates added. However, I had to send the car to a mechanic because it was bleeding antifreeze from somewhere in the engine bay, and the smell was.like it was burning it.
Well, no first car is ever perfect.
