| We never try mixiing things up a bit so I thought we should get into doing online public lobbies with grip levels turned down. My question is what would be an accurate % level of friction with the road if we wanted to simulate a wet race? My research tells me that if a dry road is 100% grip, then a wet road would be about 60% grip (assuming our tires aren't actually race slicks which in reality would be only 10-20% grip). Also ideally all 4 tires should be handicapped equally but I'm not sure whether that would portray how rain actually affects the tires or not considering most cars get really oversteer-friendly in the wet than otherwise so maybe 65% Front 60% Rear is more accurate? I'm all ears on your opinions about this.
Finally, would any of you be interested in joining/hosting frequent Wet Weather lobbies at least once a week?

| I would say depending on where the engine is say if the engine is at the front I would put 65% front grip and 60% rear grip if you k ow what I mean | |

| Im up for doing this at some point, should be interesting. I would say that 70% would probably be better, some testing might be in order to see what is drivable and what isnt? | |

| Definitely. Although in this game we can only alter what seems to be "overall" friction when in reality a wet road would have a bit lower static friction (depending on tire compound obviously) but a MUCH lower kinetic friction due to the possibilities of hydroplaning which are impossible to replicate in this game. I fear that lowering the grip levels would have the same effect as driving with stock tires with bloated pressures instead, less grip but no real added difficulty... just slower cornering and more wheelspin exiting corners. Hopefully I'm wrong and it proves a challenge. | |

| Can you only reduce the grip handicap in online lobbies? | |

| After some races with Norway it's still debatable how much grip reduction feels accurate but at -30% it's more like driving on ice than rain while -15% feels too grippy for wet asphalt. That leaves either -25% or -20% grip reduction. I would like other people's opinions about which of these % they think feels closer to real life.
I really want to make a standard grip reduction so that we can all challenge each other to the same "wet conditions" and even keep tabs of "wet" lap records. This is something we should have done a long time ago.
Oh and btw, driving at 75% grip is one HELL of a challenge ya'll need to try it you will crash or spin out in the first run guaranteed it's amazing.

| I don't think you can make it feel like rain, however you can make it slippery.
Granted I'm no expert... At lower speeds even in rain, your grip isn't compromised much, even with some strong acceleration you can use throttle control to gain a bit more traction. Really only some hard turning/braking would cause some slip, and that all depends on the amount of rain as well. So I feel like the grip handicap (if you would put a number on it) would be constantly changing depending on a bunch of factors. Where as in the game we can only set the handicap to a static number. And because of that, it doesn't have the same rainy type feel to me.

| Yeah I mentioned that but we have to work with what we're given. Give it a try though you might be surprised. | |
