| What makes you ask that?
P.S. Just by being a Corvette I'm pretty sure it's impossible to really call it a sleeper anyway.

| Okay so my bro and I were planning on plasti-dipping the hyundai Genesis rims. So I've done research (YouTube mostly) and found a fews ways to get the job done. 1.tape the brake calipers with masking tape, and continue coating the rim with caution to some areas 2.take out the rim entirely (unscrew) and coat then. I know that when you coat you spray along the spokes.
Now the hyundai had alloy rims which I'm not entirely sure if I need more attention to detail or not.
The real question is, which way is the fastest and most recommended? Addition tips and tricks would be cool too.

| If its just black, by 2-3 cans at walmart with a spray handle and just take the wheels off. At our shop we do the face of the wheels as well as the inner barrels that way you don't get and random showing of the original color when viewed from any angle.
Do 3-4 coats at 15 minutes at a time. You always want to spray in a wave motion, spraying in a single spot results in build up of material and ends up putting runs in the paint. Also, just tape up the rubber outside of the rim of the wheel and peel everything when its still wet on the last coat.
The trouble with plastidip and masking is that when the dip dries, it dries as one piece. If you go to unmask something, it would have bonded over. So when masking with tape, always unmask while the dip is still wet.

| Welp, ended up leaving this job due to bad co worker relations LOL. Apparently I get called lazy for work that was never assigned to me, and a co workers friend who just hangs out there scolded me pretty much saying "i need to be present at the shop for work i don't get paid for" Well that same "friend" of my co worker who just hangs out and has zero experience spraying cars, stole two jobs from me without the letting the staff know and is now continuing to take jobs. And I just found out until today after a month, which i thought my co worker was doing the work. I think its totally BS, and i told the owner today that i was leaving.
Its funny, they wasted product having to re do the 2 cars they did instead of me doing it right the first time.
Oh well its been fun, but i'll be spraying cars as a side job in my own garage like i did my car the first 2 times lol.

| nope, well you see, i love working on my own car and i hate having to deal with others. Which is the reason i stopping pursuing to be an automotive tech.
As of now, i'll do my typical summer job guarding at the beach which pays better and training to become a firefighter by the end of this year. The only reason i started plastidipping cars is that i was jobless last october and i needed something to get me thru the winter.

| Its funny actually, the co worker who was complaining about me is a 40 year old alcoholic who still lives at his parents house. Its funny that he thinks he can talk over me like I'm a 10 year old lol. | |
