Just to add my two cents this: My friend thought that drifting was faster than grip and it took me three hours of various racing games and driving lines to prove it to him. The only time drifting could ever be useful is in a dedicated drift race. It was stated on the Wikipedia page about touge racing that drifting is rare but can sometimes be used to screw up the chaser's lines.

Or just race our fastest grip times with your drifting technique.

shit works in real life also but gives your tires nasty wall wear and scratches your wheels.

On certain tracks you said, we are touge union with plenty of experience on the mountain and yet you still think your opinion is correct and that all of us are wrong.
So I highly doubt you would believe anything we would say regardless.

Because there are no gutters in Forza. You wouldn't listen anyway.

Drifting is situational. Period. Once in a blue moon, it will match a grip pace. If it was on dirt. Drifting is more a stylish thing than a functional thing. What is depicted in shows like Initial D is unrealistic (The cars look like they're flying around each turn at 60-100 km/h. (42-60 MPH for imperial units)\

Well you did bring the point up as if you wanted to fight about it, no need to get upset with us.
Well i've said what I need to. You're forever an Initial D fanboy with a bad temper in my book until I see some results.

That isn't drifting, your car is unstable yes, but drifting no. Just zooming and changing a camera angle of a replay you already showed doesn't change that.
When your pushing the limits of a car, your car is always on the virge of losing traction, its a fine line, sometimes you slide a little bit, it is not considered drifting by any means. Honestly this sentence sort of comes off as a compliment to your driving in the lotus, but your definition of drifting is off.
Watch my replay on the LB, you'll see me slide slightly like that too, its just because its on the limit of grip in some corners and that happens.

That looks more like power sliding than drifting. There is a difference they way i see it your trying to prove that a full 4wd in a FR or MR layout is faster on the touge but it its impossible to pull off and control. Plus if you do manage to pull it off more than likely it will only be done on the ODH because its a wider pass than the NDH being that its more narrow. Drifting came into the motorsport world only because the Drift King and racing fans new that he would win so he started drifting to keep them excited, intrested, and also to make it more challenging for himself but he still admits that drift is not the fastest way to get around or down the mountain pass nor circuit. Also misleading on the touge, now drifting is a "style" of driving that can be used on the touge just to be flashy and cool or to block your opponent or screw with his rhythm or line but youll lose speed and momentum bad as well as not get the best exit or entry line. Grip is a faster and better way of getting down and around the pass. Were just trying to tell you that here at touge union and to not mislead others on what touge is.

How about this for a fact?
My friend, MadeInTheSouth1, was training with me on the NDH to pick up his time (He was running a 5:03 at the time) and asked me if he could drift. I let him and guess what? He lost 20 seconds by drifting through each bend.
Drifting is a gradual loss of speed on Fujimi Kaido.
