Gaming question

Can you play a game from japan on a ps3 in america? I know that the different zones for games can cause issues right? PAL and NTSC (or whatever) and all that?

Yep, i'm playing JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (Japanese exclusive) on a North American PS3 right now.

Importing is just kind of a pain, what game are you looking at exactly?

The only thing you need a JPN PSN ID for is to get a patch that adds in the MX-5, RX-8, and the Altezza. Everything else can be done on your normal PSN ID.

I was actually just curious bc im a collector (i cant find a ps2 game i dont own lol) and there were always some games ps2/ps3 that i have wanted that were not north american.

Is Wangan Midnight (ps3) Any good? Its like 30 bucks after shipping. How is importing a pain exactly? Wouldnt it be the same as buying something off amazon from like china? I buy knock offs through amazon that import as far as i know?

Importing is a pain because they typically cost more to import and shipping is expensive. Wangan Midnight isn't exactly great from what i've read but it's fine if you aren't expecting much.

Creating a JPN PSN: Create a new username on your PS3, go to Playstation Store and create a a new account. Change the region to Japan, go through the rest of the steps until your account is activated. Then you have access to the Japanese PSN store.
