| In regards to the Auction House. Sorry for the lack of clarification. I'll explain it in more detail when I get my PC running today. | |

| I was thinking about this:
I've noticed that most storefront auctions usually get away with charging millions of credits for certain cars, but what sets those auctions apart from other auctions? That's what I had to ask myself, and frankly, I've got nothing but a theory. Every successful high-price auction I've seen has had a very good paint job on it, so here's what I propose as a theory:
Success at the auction house comes from the paint on the car or the rarity of the car, not the specs of the actual car.
To test this: Two people have high-value and rare cars, two people with 5k F class cars. One of each will auction the car with only upgrades, and the other with a very skilled, exclusive paint job on their car. If I'm right: The rare car will go for a steep price, but the other, painted car will be at least 25% higher in price, and the same should apply to the F Class cars.
Any volunteers? | |

| How is this a theory? This is common sense. There's no such things as "rare" cars in FM4 besides Unicorns, they can ALL be bought at the dealership. And if one of those cars sells for multi-millions then 9/10 times it's because the car was worth even more than it sold for which means a discount for the buyer and damage control for the auctioneer. In the case of a car with a cool paintjob, the price it sells for is PURELY because of the exclusivity of the paint. I say "exclusivity" because even if it's good or not, rarely would anyone buy a car solely for the paintjob IF said paintjob is already available on the auctioneer's storefront like it usually is like 4/5 times (unless the car is also expensive and it's cheaper to bid/buyout the auction than buy the car AND the paint).
