| That car is way over priced even at 7500. Fact of the matter is, the car has rust with in the frame and that kills a sale pitch. Even if it gets fixed the car is not in the same condition when it rolled off the assembly line.
Is the car worth it? Maybe if your wealthy and have money to blow and just dont care but if not its a terrible investment. Taking in to consideration that you guys are young at the age of 17/18 and probably going in to college, I highly doubt you guys have a steady income or long term credit established unless you guys have enlisted in to the military for the next 8 years, planning on working full time at $10/hr for quite a while, or just who live off their parents.
If you had 7500 and another 6k for shipping in hand, regardless if the money was yours or your parents, i would think it would be irresponsible as a parent to let their pay child pay 13k for a car thats almost 30 years old.
In reality, the USDM version of that car wouldnt go for over 3500 here in the states, anything more than that is way over priced.
I mean the car looks very much stock to me, when i think of an ae86 going for 7500-9000 i think of the owners 10k+ investment in parts and labour, rebuilt 16v or swapped 20v, flawless paint, good interior, no rust.
Just my 2 cents, I'm just trying to look out for y'all

| i dont understand why that one is so much either tbh. there was one that sold recently that was a full track car. after market everything. for 8500USD...? That will sit for a cool minute and drop to nothing. I seen a few that sat around for a month and got slashed to a 3rd of the price. that said, there is some decent stuff that comes in that warehouse from time to time just saying. | |

I am set with my "Murican cars lol but i would consider if i had the money importing something in the future,js.

| Ahh that 84 is a nice looking one, but too much rust for that price. I would pay that much if they got the rust off maybe, but I'm still leaning towards the red 86 levin, do they have any other imported cars? | |

| Theres a bunch on the page/site. but even the guy selling them tells you its costly bc of the importation. i posted some in the thread "i wish i had money" or something. he just posted that he got a new shipment in though so idk what he has now. | |

8500 for a full track car sounds about right So an 86 that is realistically 8500 was set to sell at that price but was ended up selling for a third of the price after a month? What that statement says to me is that the owner was desperate, needed money and needed the car gone. Im sure if the owner wasn't in a rush to sell, he'd let it sit at 8500 or be haggled down to 6500. Anyone in their right mind would do the same. - SaintedPlacebo4 wrote:

Id drop 2500 on a usdm 86 in the same condition but I still wouldnt drop 5k on shipping for that. If i had 5k for shipping id probably buy something more in value to make the most of the shipping price. 5k for shipping a $2500 car and paying 5k for shipping a $20,000 just doesnt sit right in my mind.

| int eh first there were two thoughts that i think got merged together. There was a 8500 dollar track car that sold for 8500. The one that will drop price is the one that he is trying to sell with the rust. | |
