PostSubject: RACER009   Wed Jul 03, 2013 11:47 pm

hey guys/gals. new to this whole touge scene and well i have a couple questions i coudnt find answers to.(already read rules and related threads that i could find.)

main questions are build regulations for the cars.
-i read no forza aero. and no lotus elise.

is the 97 civic rwd (or any rwd swap honda good to go?) i dont use them but id like to know what i might be up against to see if i even have a chance.

but what about tires? and weight reduction? drive train swaps? i read in other places no race weight reduction and no race tires but then i see no mention about it in here? or maybe i dint see it on the stickies.

reason asking is because im currently going thru the process of choosing my cars. and this could affect my decision.

well im going to be online from now (12:41am) thru (2-3am). hopefully if anyone is online theyl send me an invite (XBL: RACER009).

sorry for the long thread and i have seen all of the initial D episodes and almost all the touge battles on youtube. im new to the mountains and forums and i apologize if i put this on the wrong place but i dint see an introduction place.cheers

No forza aero is really the only thing! Every thing else is go for it. Most of us run B class, some run A. Always use RACE tires or you will always LOSE. Also turn off all your assists, for they slow you down ALOT.

See ya around, and welcome

The elise is looked down upon cause it seems to be highly overpowered for the PI it has compared to other cars with the same PI.

^ deff agree. kinda hard to hate on it tho since it really is a quick car in real life. but it has dominated forza since FM1.

Welcome to Touge Union. The Civic that I mainly run down hill is FWD. I haven't heard much about anyone doing the RWD swap on one.

Be sure to check out the "Touge Union's School of Touge" thread. You will learn basically anything you'd want to know about touge from the teachers there.

Thanks for the advice im trying to learn the track a little more before I try out a teacher. So far the ion has made progress and im finally out of the 4:50 with a 4:49.2. That tunning guide help alot. I dropped 4sec off stage a reverse. Unfortunately my tune for the stages dont work as good on full downhill but ill post my question over there.

Black knight you are deff right the rl seriously needs more room for p.i. I build a 240 to see the stats and if I had similar stats I would be deep, into a class almost s. Lol.. Camaro is the same but not as bad it does leave the ion in The dust for 30% of ndh. But not used to it so my ghost passes me.

Having tons of fun, so far.

Thanks man its a 30th anniversary. Trying to restore her since previous owners neglected her. Mainly cosmetics. so letdown that almost every Camaro is in this game except for the 93-97.
