| Microsoft will be releasing the highest voted for games on the backwards compatibility list which includes 100+ games, on November 9th. Hopefully Forza 4 is on the list!
Backwards compatibility will be released in an update on the 12th.

| Where do I vote? I kinda want to vote for Halo 3 if FM4 gets enough votes. | |

| On the Xbox One forums. There should be a backwards compatibility thread dedicated to voting! | |

Microsoft has already said that all of their "Microsoft studios" games will be on backwards compatibility sooner or later, just give them time. There might be a few hurdles in the way of getting old Forza games into the backwards compatibility program for all we know, they might even have to get new licensing deals for them for the real world cars/tracks/sponsors. After all, they where only licensed for the 360 hardware. Before anyone says that I am just defending, take a look at SimBins GTR and GTR 2 games, and compare the original CD-Rom releases with Porsche in them, to the steam versions without Porsche. They had to re-license the cars/tracks for the steam re-release, and EA blocked them with Porsche, forcing SimBin to remove Porsche from the games. Could also be technical issues, as the FM games need to still run at 60FPS. Emulating an entire software/hardware setup is very taxing for computer hardware, and could be throwing a few spanners in the works in that regard. could be anything. The promotional images Microsoft has put out, clearly shows FM4 and Horizon 1. So I am fairly confident at least those 2 will arrive at some point.

Ialyrn for U.S. President 2016. I don't care much for the backwards compatiability now, since it should've been in there from the start.

Ialyrn for U.S. President 2016. UK prime minister would be more up my street, what with being British an all. lol. - Obelisk wrote:
I don't care much for the backwards compatibility now, since it should've been in there from the start. You see, I just don't get this? Backwards compatibility was never a thing until the PS2 came along, and is to date the only system, besides the Wii, that it remotely worked well on. The PS3 was a disaster on this front, as Sony removed the things from the system needed for it to save money. And the PS4's attempt at it, is only there to absolutely rape peoples purses in the form of extortionately priced software streaming. The 360's backwards compatibility was mediocre at best, and incidentally using the exact same system that MS is using yet again on the X1. Which is software/hardware emulation. Basically, MS are giving you a nice virtual machine on the Xbox one. A good way of doing it, especially for software experts like Microsoft, but very taxing. But it appears they are either more dedicated to it this time around, or the Xbox one has given them enough headroom to actually do it justice. As for if it should be there or not, I can take it or leave it. And I do not believe it should be a prerequisite when a new console comes around. Is it a nice option to have, yes it is. But it is far from needed. When I got a PS2, I still had my PS1. When I got a 360, I still had my original xbox. And now that I have an Xbox one, I still have my 360. Most of the older games I own, baring system exclusives, are all on my PC. Which doesn't need backwards compatibility, as there are even ways to still run Dos based games, even in windows 10. As it stands, the only reason I am interested in FM4 joining into the backwards compatibility program on the X1. Is to see if I can use my G920 wheel with it, as I always wanted to drift Fujimi with 900° of steering rotation. But that is a curiosity only, and it doesn't matter to me if it does not join the program.
