Just got my beta code for The Crew, and downloading it at the moment. Figured it could be good to open a discussion for the game.

It is basically Forza Horizon for pc...... but made by Ubisoft.

Ahh ok. For now im going to stick to rF cuz until i build a capable computer i wont be able to play these sick games

Actually i am a little disappointed graphicswise by the crew. The cars feel great and sound very good too but even maxxed out it just doesnt make me scream "LAWD JEEZUS" when i look at it

I dont think it is supposed blow you away graphically. Well, when the map size is taken into consideration. I would think (and hope) that the graphical levels are as they are for smooth running of the game. Anyway, there is still a few months until the final release. So thing may either improve, or just stay the same where the graphics are concerned.

Hope they drop the loading time before the main menu significantly till then waited 15minutes last night

If your cpu is an i7 at 2.8Ghz, then that sounds like the i7-860 from 2009. it is running SATA 2.0 if that is the case. I would say it will be the system ram and hard drive transfer rates causing your load time issues in game. I just loaded the game up, and it only took 1 minute and 45 seconds from opening the game from Uplay, to driving around.

Anyways, I got the full game and beat the story in two and a half days. What's driving me up the wall is the god-awful RNG for the Platinum 50 parts. I'm just trying to get my '57 ElDorado to S 1299 and ended up wasting two hours on an Escape event in the south of Florida.
