I've been visiting a lot lately and i could see that less people are visiting the site and it is difficult to try and race someone on here now. come back, don't let the touge union die!

Reasons for this: 1) Some have grown bored of touge 2) Some have sold off their Xbox 360s 3) Some don't renew their Xbox Live Gold subscription 4) Some play FM5 on the XB1 instead 5) Some are too busy with work
Even though it's summer the amount of people online on FM4 (in general and not just TU) is very low. However that doesn't really excuse not visiting this forum at least. Gets lonely here...

Yeah, I sold my 360 a while ago, and about to sell my PS3. I've moved over to PC gaming/sim-racing, though I may get a Wii U in the future. I still hang out here quite a bit, though.

It will be a long time until touge will thrive like it did before on Forza and with Horizon 2 being released instead of "Forza 6" I see that wait being even longer. I just bought an Xbox One but I don't see the point of paying for a game that has less cars and tracks than Forza 4 and I'm too lazy to hook up my 360 to touge with a small amount of people so I'm sure there are a lot of people in the same boat.

Kraze pretty much nailed it. I stopped paying for LIVE since the only reason I did was for Forza 4 and most people have moved on to 5. I tried playing GT6 but there's no touge, so I don't race much anymore. We had a good two year run but the forum is going to be dormant for a while and the only thing that can fix it is Forza 6 having a mountain course.

I wouldn't say Horizon 2 released instead of Forza 6
We had a year that FM4 was released, the next year Horizon released, then next was Forza 5, its only natural they keep up their pattern. Each game seems to have 2+ years of work into them, just different teams making them!
Horizon 2 could have some good Touge though!

Even if it does have good touge locations I doubt the physics or tune-ability will be good enough since its a series that is more focused on the arcade racing audience. On top of that we will still be limited on cars. 2+ years for the next Forza will suck but you're probably right.

I think they said they would alternate between a new FM game and Horizon game every year so technically that means FM6 would release late 2015.

According to Shaun cole from the simpit (the same guy who used to be on ISR), the handling with all aids turned off is 1 to 1 with FM5.
The part about handling is at 7:50 into the video, the first part is talking about the new madcatz wheel for the X1; along with the Nordschleife.
Im pre-ordering this one, I think Horizon 2 is going to be far better than the first Horizon, and I am actually looking forward to it. And it is not like I am short of racing games to play, I have Pcars, Assetto Corsa, Rfactor, a ton of need for speed games, grid 2 and grid autosport (autosport is actually quite good, reminds me a bit of the old codemaster Toca games), Dirt 2/3/showdown, WRC4, F1 2013. Plus on the xbox 360 I still have FM4, and I also have the first grid. So the fact I am going to get H2 after how much I hated the first one (and I did really hate Horizon 1), and with the constantly expanding library of racers I have, it has shocked me a fair bit. H2 just "looks" far better than H1, and is looking to be the game that H1 should have been from the start (at least on xbox one, no idea how the 360 version will turn out; but Sumo Digital doesn't exactly have a bad reputation). An almost identical clone of TDU 1, with full tuning and good handling physics, more cars by default, and without the stupid god awful multiplayer issues (i.e finding it hard to play with friends because of TDU1's server system).

I wonder how many people here would buy the 360 edition of Horizon 2?

If I do buy it I don't have a choice. So that means I'd be playing alone? One more reason for me not to get it then.

I need to consider bringing my whole setup with me to college first (Xbox, PS3, wheel, pedals, etc.) it's a lot of stuff and it's not easy to ship. But I already spent a whole year away from racing and I don't want to do that again.
