I need your help.

Hi guys, I've been considering selling my PlayStation 3 for a little while now, and I need your opinion.

I rarely turn on my PS3 anymore ever since I received my EVGA GTX 750 Ti from Ryan Shrout. I only turned it on to battle Nate, but before that I didn't play it much. As I speak, my PS3 is resting next to my desk covered in dust and sticky notes.

The only games I own for my PS3 are Gran Turismo 5 and Gran Turismo 6. Ever since I started to play Assetto Corsa and iRacing, I've noticed myself dragging myself to get on my PS3 to see what is new in Gran Turismo. I find myself enjoying PC simulators more than Gran Turismo.

At this point, you may be wondering, "Why do you need to sell your PS3? You have a PC that plays games. Aren't you happy?". The answer is, yes and no. While this PC can play most of my games just fine, I need a beefier system overall so I can livestream with OBS and have better performance in editing software I use and games I play. Render times take ages with my Pentium E5300 paired with my 750 Ti, and I need a faster, newer machine to handle those tasks. I would put 100% of the money I would get from my PS3 into parts to build myself a computer.

The thing right now that is keeping me from chucking it to the hands of a GameStop employee is Touge Union. As of right now, I am one of the most active members in the Gran Turismo community, and I feel like I'd be doing a bad thing if I left that community. I'm not leaving Touge Union, but I wouldn't be playing Forza or GT. Just PC simulators/games and my WiiCube. I'm not having fun with Gran Turismo itself. This has nothing to do with the people on this forum, I'm referring to the game itself.

It would suck if we can't play any console games with you anymore but I understand that keeping a PS3 for just GT5/6 is not really a logical decision. I'd sell my PS3 too if I didn't I enjoy the F1 cars from GT like I do now. I'd say sell it. I need money for a better PC. If I do that I'd play Assetto Corsa with you every week.

Yeah, it would be upsetting that I wouldn't be able to play with you and other members of Touge Union anymore. None of the other PS3 exclusives interest me enough to keep my PS3, and I could get the other widespread games on PC.

I'd still be on the Union as much as I am now, even if I sell it. Heck, I'll even continue to update the leaderboards and capabilities thread.

I would say keep the PS3.

Just because I got rid of my 360 and wish I could play FM4 now. I didn't really have a need or want for the 360 at the time, but now I miss it and wish I hadn't gotten rid of it. Same thing happened with my gamecube. I sold my gamecube and a few years later I wanted it back for sentimental reasons.

So just box the PS3 up and in time you'll want to play it again.

I understand, but I really want the money. While I do miss Forza 4, I don't regret selling my 360.

actually I am considering selling my 360 along with all my games as well. Right now Im so caught up in ESO that I barely have time for anything else

@Kona-It's your decision, but if it were me, I'd auction it off on Ebay, I heard the auction prices go through the roof (E.G. a 360 with a 250gb HDD sold for $1,000+)

Yeah besides playing eso if i turn on a console it is the ps3 right now. Havent touched my 360 since christmas
