| Well calling the ITR more grippy than an 86 is taking it a bit far don't you think? And scrapping it for such a petty reason is just...
But if you're seriously over it though then look at the car capabilities thread and take your pick. What do you consider a stupid time though? sub-35?

| It felt grippier than the 86 but turns in less, I liked driving the 86 but im so inconsistent with my times that im not even fast in it, like I hit a 4:36:1 and then I do another run straight after and get like a 4:38:6 I just cant do it, its just a constant effort getting a 36 in it and for the time ive been driving it I thought I would have been decent in it by now | |

| Didn't you change your tune though? I think I remember you scrapping the tune you got a low 35 in. | |

| Correct me if I'm wrong but if that tune wasn't faster than your previous then there might be an obvious reason why you haven't bested your time yet, and assuming you change the tune every now and then, it's not hard to figure out why you never really get used to the car. | |

| I busted out a 35 in the race suspension tune after a few runs and it felt easier to drive but I aint changed a single thing on it and still really inconsistent | |

| If you're THAT frustrated in the 86 then here:
I'd recommend an AW11 MR2.
It's like mid-engined 86, it's cool, it's fast, it's classic, and no one really uses it.
Of course it HAS set a stupid fast time already (4:32.998) but still...

| Look, as long as you're driving the one that feels right for you, it's enough. I personally can't just switch to an 86 just because it has quick acceleration, or an MR-S because of it's supreme handling, or an Integra just because it's grippy. I love the FC so I drive it. For some reference i'm currently the fourth fastest driver in an FC, while Kona, Beta, and newer drivers like JDMSpeedhunter take the podium. If I remember correctly, those same people are the only drivers faster than you in an 86 putting you at exactly my position.
So if you really do like some other car better and you were only wasting your time in an 86 because it had a fast leaderboard time or something then you need to get in whichever one it is asap. If not, buy anther 86, load up that paint, and get to work recreating the one that you scrapped.

| You try loading up you sport suspension tune up again? Try running the bmw e30 m3, built one as a change of pace and i got it down to 37.8 the other night. | |

| I still got the tune for the 86 I will run it again tonight and see how I get on, ive had time to calm down from my hissy fit lastnight, I will stick with my true love, the 86 and look around for a really.good secondary car, managed a low 38 in the S2000 lastnight so got that in mind but I love the teggys speed when you start red lining it | |

| Nobody kill me for saying this but I'd really like to see buk in a mx5, don't ask why I just think he'd be beast in it. Other suggestions, escort/s15/ switch over to A-class for a while to kinda give you a break. I didn't read every ones comment but I don't think anyone has encouraged you to stay in the 86, stick with it bro. I went from running 38's in my supra to running 43's, I was so focused on getting faster ( thanks to kraze and that fucking 35 ) but then I ventured off and started running different cars and I saw different strengths and weaknesses in all if the cars opposed to my supra. Every other car may have a higher acceleration but my supra is by far the grippy-est and most pedal-2-the-floor I've driven. I feel the most comfort in my supra, that's my reason for sticking with the supra. What's your reason for sticking with the 86 ??? I own three cars now and it's about to go down to 2 cause I may not be able to get a 29 in my supra now but it will be faster than my Gtr one day. But the choice is yours brother, btw I got my b-class supra back to 39/40's last night so it is possible for you to be consistent again I promise. IMO if you don't stick with the 86 ima cry | |

| I'm with Clutch on this one, you should stick with the AE86 but if your looking at this as a new challenge to try to get something new faster like if your bored of the AE86 then go for that. Its always good to try something new kinda like how I have been looking into the FC since I have been with the Z for months. But don't let me tell you what to do just do what you feel is right to you. PS: That Integra is Nice! | |

| i think its like clutch said maybe you need some time away from trying to get even faster in the ae86. you should take a break trying all different kind of cars (maybe try some unusual tuning and see what happens) and when you come back you will probably be all refreshed and ready to have another go at getting consistant 36s | |

| ^That Volvo wagon that Velarys had a while ago was stupidly quick. I'd personally suggest a 037 Stradale, because it has a lot of traction and is reasonably balanced without tuning. | |

| I thought the point of the thread was to recommend cars that aren't known for being fast. The 037 is like the complete opposite of that. | |
