Figured we were gonna need one of these now that we got a group going on GT6. As for my personal best on the ring, 8:02 AE86 430PP sport hard tires.

Sooo.... 430pp, sports hard, is the setting we are going with? Question. We know that not all car are equal in FM4 even when their PI says so... how far off is PP with cars in this game? I havent had a chance to test to compare to see how accurate the PP is (obviously when cars have the same tires)

Edit: After some digging i have found that the general consensus is that PP is based only off Power to weight ratios... if thats the case than its impossible to say that all cars have to have he same PP to race.... Race cars in the game have PPs of only like 500 some have PPs much lower and the times ran with them are much faster than that of other cars at the same PP.

PP seems to vary a LOT from car to car. Same PP cars can have drastically different power/weight ratios so not only handling (tire width, braking force, and car balance) but I guess other factors must also be taken into account. Problem is we'll never know what exactly those are since there's no performance stats bar chart.

I'm guessing the regular Nurburgring not the 24h or Type V versions. Is Sport Hard gonna be the standarized tire of choice? Even in 500pp?

As with my edit above everywhere i looked said that PP is based off power to weight and handling and platform have nothing ot do with it. that would make sense since race cars that have race chassis and downforce etc which are much faster than street cars at the same pp... well can even have hte same pp. Hell some race cars only have 400-450 PP. so i dont think PP is going to work well as a gauge.

It's the only thing we have to limit the classes. Some of us are going to have to test out different cars with the same PP to confirm if it's a trustworthy scale. Also I see a pattern of 430, 480, & 500 being the major classes that people are using. Some 450s and 550s here and there too.

So far I know the 86 FC3S MR-S and MX-5 all set really close times to each other in 430PP. The stats look really weird on paper with the different power to weight ratios but they all set similar times. What cars do you guys run at 430PP and what times do those set? And as for sport hard tires I feel like they still have a lot of grip in 500PP. We could go with sport mediums but I really like the idea of having actual street tires.

Yeah Sport Softs are basically street legal R-compounds that are only used on a track.

Ok, here's how it works:

Spoiler:

My best was 8:07 FC3S. Also I like the idea of using sport hards all the time, makes 500pp way more interesting.

Edit: 8:06 FC3S 430pp

I like the idea of having classes such as Touge 430, Touge 480, and Touge 500 , kinda reminds me of some of the Hot version type rules.
