| Can someone explain to me how my older games for 360 work but my newer ones (and i mean brand spanky new) get random disc read errors all the time? My Forza 4 is literally split into two pieces and its sticky taped together and works but i bought payday two and bf3 and they are freezing ALL the time -.- (the witcher 2 also does this)
They read as "media disc" sometimes... yet if i pop in something like Armored Core For Answer which is like 3? 4? years old it works like a charm... Did they change up their discs or something? :c | |

| That's weird. Dont know what to tell ya. My Xbox was acting up some time ago not loading and my forza was freezing. As soon as i upgraded my Internet it started working again. But now its being weird again. Some times it takes too long to load the home screen when i first turn it on. I don't know if thats from my kid pushing the on off button 20 times daily or its just getting old? I just got this one last year

| Yeah its really really weird that my old games work fine but my new ones wont work very well. Hmm i am guessing it has to do with the newer discs being slightly different but who knows. | |

| Dude, it's in settings. 'Run intial set up' It usually fixes the problems on the xbox by resetting the processor. | |

| No but you may have to reenter your internet password if it's locked. It always asks to set a network. | |

| Sounds like a problem with a disc or the disc tray. I know I have a couple of games that I bought brand new that have problems being read on my xbox. It could be the xbox though, what model is it? The early ones tend to have a really crappy laser lens that breaks after about a year or so. | |

| Yeah I found that a lot of the niche titles on xbox tend to have really cheap discs or something, I just open the disc tray and turn the game a little bit before I put it back in the xbox. After about 8 or so tries it usually works. Not much you can really do about it though, if the disc ever works again you should install the game. That really helps with some of my games. | |

| You should go to GameStop and buy the games used then return them with the bad discs and say it dont work and want your money back. That's what I did with a few games

| Maybe there is a thin protective coat on the new discs that your Xbox laser can't get past but on your older games that thin coat is gone because of playing them so much. Just a wild guess, I have no clue. | |
