| Does anybody here play the game? How much fun and realistic is it compared to GT5 and Forza 4? Is it easy to mod for more car choice, car mods and track mods? Last is it expensive to buy? Hows the online community? Im getting intrested in this game but dont know if its worth the time and buy | |

| i think since its on computer this game doesnt make much sense without a good wheel.
the mod variety is simply gigantic. basically every kind of motorsport you could want you can get for it. same goes for cars
i dont play it myself but im mouthwatered for a while already to get me the initial D tracks and cars (most of them are available afaik) but it lacks the wheel so far xD

| I've played the demo a few times, but I know Gunner4568 plays the game a lot, but he doesn't browse the forum that much. | |

| You don't need a good computer at all to run it good....I use a 2 year old HP desktop and run it with no problem....but you need a wheel to really play it and I plan on getting one soon so if you guys get into it I'm in! | |

| Soilder is right. I use a 3 year old HP desktop with a single core CPU and a $25 video card, anything with Windows will run that game. | |

| i have heard that anything will run it but ill be honest my computer is 2 years old and still cant run games from 2005. Hell those fancy 3D flash games they got online now i cant even run fluidly. Anything 3D lags my computer to hell . Oh well. | |

| Don't even start with my computer. It uses obsolete video software from 2003. Yes, it's that old. | |

I know this is an old thread lol. Well, ive got a logitech drive fx(with a posible clutch mod coming up) which should work with rFactor and hopefully my laptop can take it. Kona, how is Minecraft on your computer i know its completely irrelevant but i want to compare your Comp's performance to mine before i dive into rFactor.

| I recently got a new PC with a much better video card. My PC can run Minecraft 60FPS on nearly maxed settings, and that is because of my outdated CPU. | |

| No. I am referring to my current "gaming" desktop, which consists of a Pentium E5300 and an EVGA GTX 750 Ti SuperClocked.
My older PC ran Minecraft at around 30-40FPS on low-medium settings.

| Ok guys rFactor is awesome but im using a logitech drive fx which kinda sucks. It has some pretty cool touge selections such as shomaru pass(saitama),gunsai touge course, and so on. The cars selection is even better. Oh and it doesnt require much out of a computer cuz it runs perfect on my laptop that can barely run minecraft. They have online, but its mainly circuit racers and drifters | |

| ^Then I'm going to try and download it. For now I have the demo but I can't seem to set up my wheel correctly. LOTS of settings for it very confusing. | |

| I im using a logi DFX and my parents wont let me buy a G27:(. Anyway, i figured out how to set everything up. Does your csr work on rfactor kraze? Once you are on the page that allows you to customize controls, here is what you do: look for accelerator, click on it then push your gas pedal in. Do the same for clutch and brake. For the gearbox, find 1-6th gear by scrolling down in the same box. For gear 1 click on it then put the shifter in first gear. Do the same for the rest of the gears and for neutral. As for the buttons, configure em however you like. | |

ebay, they got some in good condition or new for wayyyyy under 250. There are used 9/10 condition g27s under 200 on craigslist near me(LA) and i found a g25 for 150. Orr you can drop 335 and get a csr with pedals and a shifters. Luckily for me, im going to work for my dad for summer and "waste" my money and buy a CSR. Here is a link on ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/Logitech-G27-Racing-Gaming-Steering-Wheel-PS3-PC-w-Pedals-Shift-Knob-941-000045-/331147846960?pt=US_Video_Game_Controllers&hash=item4d19f32530

| I'm stuck with a budget of $257 (Parents wouldn't let me cash the other $1375 from graduation -_-) so I'll just have to make do with a used one or a G25. | |
