| I wanted to make this thread to examine if American muscle cars, pony cars and sporty vehicles are useful on the mountain after pondering it during a horrible sleepless night.
So I took a few out for a spin in B class and got some unusual results compared to my expectations. These are the cars I tested: 1973 AMC Gremlin X (First run time: 4:59.602) 1952 Hudson Hornet (First run time: 5:02.867) 1978 Ford Mustang King Cobra (First run time: 4:58.005) 1982 DeLorean DMC-12 (First run time: 4:56.780)
Honestly, I feel like the American cars are the underdogs of the touge because they tend to be known more as straight-line racers but I had some suprises: 1: The Mustang handled very smoothly, giving itself to a neutral turning behavior and responding better to higher acceleration in a turn. 2: The DeLorean is a sleeper car. It drives just like the Lancia 037 but just looks different (As well as the. legacy behind the DMC.) 3: Cars that weigh over 3,000 pounds understeer like a boat crashing into a house.
Tell me what you guys think/feel.

| LOL at number 3.
there are a handful of light muscle cars. those are points of interest. the javilin is worth looking at. so are certain firebirds and camaros.

| That's true. It seems as though the heavier ones, such as some of the older 'Vettes, tend to have trouble with nothing but a bear turn.
The hudson weighs in at 3,700 pounds with all race parts.

| I'll tell you what induces a horrible sleepless night, driving one of those down the mountain! I kid I kid. Honestly though, not only are they slow they are no fun to drive at all. It's best to use the cars for what they were built for, going fast. REALLY fast. | |

| try the ford coupe then. and yeah i wouldnt try a 3700 lbs car haha. there are a handful that are 2600lbs though.
@beta i think that there are a handful that are very fast. the kind cobra is one of them. the delorean is another. they are both very light and have huge tires. you might be surprised.

| Well the delorean was a lot faster than I remember it being, it's still not that fun to drive though. The mustang on the other hand was a blast to drive, it corners even better than the delorean! Times on both cars Delorean 4:38.9 Mustang king cobra 4:37.4 I was really impressed by that mustang, thanks for the suggestions saintedplacebo!

| The DeLoreanis a bit of a bore, yes but the 88MPH joke never gets old.
The builds I have are smoother than even the Lancia, which startled me

| the 355B ferrari would be good for A class uphill if memory serves its A600 build. Im not sure if the 355C would get in the weight redux at A though im almost sure the B would. | |
