| Just made the switch and I'm getting frustrated for braking into corners. Any tips for training into it? I'm trying to get down w/o hitting walls but I mix up buttons or over think. | |

| I learned back in FM3, but the same principles apply.
Take a car, any will do but preferably one that requires a lot of shifting, take it to a high speed track with lots of heavy braking and do lap after lap after lap...
It took me about a week to get it down so it was a reflex action, rather than having to think about it.
Another option is to remap the clutch to A instead of LB, which means you don't have to brake with your middle finger. To shift you just roll your thumb over A and B or X depending. If you use the handbrake a lot, this doesn't work so well though.

| I use right thumper for clutch and the right stick to shift up and down.so i keep my middle finger on gas my index on clutch and my thumb on shifter. Try it, may feel more comfy

| i would remap the clutch to the A button. it takes some getting used to at first but once you do it feels waaay easier to upshift/downshift than the left bumper. everyones different tho | |

Right now since my index was my braking finger, I'm in the process of training my middle finger to hit the locking point closer out of reflex and keep it steady while my index flips through the gears

Okay. I use that same grip when I'm racing. What I can tell you is to keep practicing so you can get used to it, I wasn't used to it either and it took about a week to get it down.

| I just raced first with clutch and then started touge with it because there are less turns so you learn how to brake gradually. | |
